The new Corelli stereo power amplifier has been developed from experience gained with the latest series of Puccini Remote and Puccini S.E. Remote high performance integrated amplifiers. Corelli offers the same dynamics and sonic purity as the finest Audio Analogue products, and is the perfect partner for the Bellini Remote preamplifier. It can be used at the heart of a high performance system where the higher power output of the Donizetti Mono power amplifiers would not be needed, or where there may be budget constraints in the customer`s choice.
Corelli provides a power output of over 60 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms, and is easily capable of driving 4 Ohm nominal loads thanks to its generous power supply fed by two 200VA toroidal transformers and its robust power output stage. But the use for which the Corelli is best suited is bi-amplification, in conjunction with a Puccini Remote or (preferably) Puccini S.E. Remote. Corelli has in fact the same gain as both of these Audio Analogue amplifiers , and can therefore be connected to their `pre-out` sockets provided for this purpose. With the purchase of one Corellii, plus a pair of good quality interconnects and a second pair of loudspeaker cables, the owner of a Puccini Remote or Puccini S.E. Remote can make an affordable but genuine upgrade to his system without detriment to the sonic balance already achieved and without the need to trade any of his existing equipment.
Of course, biamping is also possible when using the Bellini Remote. This is catered for by the provision of two `pre-out` connections, which allow the Bellini to drive one or two Corelli power amplifiers as required. And for those wishing to use active crossovers, the Corellii can be a useful and highly cost-effective way of building up a full multi-amped active system.
Corelli is constructed using top quality components; low-noise, high-precision resistors, high-speed polypropylene capacitors of low intrinsic hysteresis and high-linearity wide bandwidth transistors.
